intentionally to fulfill that calling or merely existing day-to-day?
Open your calendar today and set aside some time with the Lord - a personal retreat for a weekend, day, or perhaps just an evening. The first step toward intentional living is to move beyond wishing and into doing.

Here are some suggestions that may make your time with the Lord more meaningful:
- Preparing for your retreat, ask the Lord to meet you there and speak to your heart. Ask others to be praying for you as well.
- Pack a Bible, journal, pen and worship music.
- Manage distractions. Steer clear of things that might easily distract you - like household projects, a television or refrigerator. When praying, don't beat yourself up for thinking about things you need to do - simply write them down, set them aside and thank God that He didn't let you spend all day thinking about them!
- Ask yourself the hard questions. Imagine what kind of discussion Jesus would have with you if he were physically present - face to face.
- Imagine all the ways in which He might want to show His love for you. Thank Him for loving you - even in ways you can't imagine.
- Write it down. Record your experiences and any action plan that you may develop.
